Our Story

Built on Resilience

Clarity Ridge Co. was born from personal loss, healing through nature, and a commitment to supporting mental health awareness.

A Personal Journey

From Grief to Purpose

Clarity Ridge Co. wasn't born in a corporate boardroom. It was born in the quiet of the woods, out of raw grief, survival, and a deep love for my brother—my only sibling—whom I lost to addiction and mental illness.

Seven Years in the Darkness

For seven years, I watched my brother fight a brutal, relentless battle with severe mental health struggles, drug-induced psychosis, and addiction. As the older sibling, I felt the weight of protection—the responsibility to guide him through the darkness. But there was nothing I could do to save him.

Those years shattered my entire family. We watched helplessly as he cycled through psychiatric hospitalizations, crisis interventions, and desperate attempts at recovery. My parents aged years in months. I carried the full weight of worry, guilt, and the constant fear of that final call. We tried everything—interventions, treatment programs, therapy, love, tough love. Nothing seemed to stick. The uncertainty was suffocating. We never knew if today would be the day we lost him.

The Call

It started on an ordinary day. My brother had missed work, something that had happened before but this time, a heavy feeling told me something was different. I couldn't shake it, so I left work early. Just thirty minutes after I got home, my phone rang. My mom’s voice was fractured in a way I had never heard before. When I pulled up, the scene was surreal. Emergency vehicles filled the driveway and streets, responders moved with practiced efficiency, and my family’s world lay shattered on the front lawn. It’s a moment permanently etched into my mind. An accidental overdose took my only brother, and in that single instant, something inside me broke too.

The days that followed were a blur. Shock gave way to a suffocating weight I couldn't name. Days of isolation turned into weeks, into months. I moved through the world like a ghost, watching everyone else continue as if the ground hadn't just opened beneath me. The guilt was immediate and relentless: Why him? Why not me? What could I have done differently? The questions had no answers, only echoes.

Finding My Way Back

I realized I was drowning too. The trauma, the guilt, the anger—it all demanded to be felt. I was diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. But diagnosis was just the beginning.

This past year, I've done the hard work of healing. Therapy became my lifeline—Trauma-Focused CBT to untangle the complex threads, EMDR to move through the grief. I found support from both a psychologist and psychiatrist, and medication became part of my daily commitment to myself. It hasn't been linear. Some days are still impossibly hard. But I'm learning to carry the loss rather than be crushed by it. And I'm choosing recovery, one day at a time.

When the noise of the world gets too loud and the weight gets too heavy, the wilderness is the only place I can find some quiet. That's where this brand was born—not from a desire to sell, but from a desperate need to transform pain into purpose. I started Clarity Ridge Co. to turn my pain into a beacon for others—to break the silence around mental health, and to remind anyone walking a dark path that you don't have to hike it alone.

In Loving Memory of Devon Meunier

(1998-2025)

It is with profound sadness and endless love that we remember Devon, our cherished Son who passed away on Wednesday June 18th, 2025. Devon had a heart of gold and a sense of humor that could brighten up even the darkest days. His infectious smile and beautiful eyes lit up every room. His love was fishing and he found peace in the stillness of nature and joy in casting line in quiet waters. Whether he was fishing or walking wooden trails, the outdoors was his happy place. His intelligence was one of the many gifts he carried with him along with his compassion and sense of humor. He was loved by all.

In the last few years I am so glad I decided to take up fishing with him. Of course he still had to bait the hook and net the fish for me - but he never minded. We shared so many laughs and memories that I, as his Mother will hold on to forever.

Devon was always "Down for that " when it came to fishing with his Dad and Brother and would bring his humor with his signature "here fishy fishy ". Devon admired and looked up to his brother Tyler and had a tattoo in honor of their bond. He enjoyed spending time with his niece Kalia and making beautiful memories. He loved working with his Uncle Pete and looked forward to the future.

Devon's love for his family and friends was beyond measure. His journey was not without struggle, but he carried it with quiet strength. His soul was filled with beauty, kindness and endless love.

He leaves behind in sorrow his Mother, Joanne; Father Yvon (Tammy, Morgan, Reilly); Brother Tyler (Brittany, Kalia, Kaylee); Maternal grandmother, Priscille Allard; Paternal grandmother Cathy Meunier and many other family members whose hearts will always carry his love and beautiful memories.
